My wire wheel has worn out, and I need to replace it. I bought a 6" 1/2" arbor wheel, but it is apparently what is called a "narrow face" wheel, because it is way too narrow to install tightly on the arbor bar. The original wheel was convex on both sides, about 1" thick at the arbor. The wheel I bought is about 1/8" thick at the arbor.

The wire wheel works fine but I had to add a 1/2" locking collar to the spindle prior to sliding the wheel onto it. The lowprofile design just doesn''t work well with my HF grinder. Once the collar wheel were installed, I finally had enough stackheight to be able to lock it down tight with the nut. Not the best setup but it works for now.
