The slump, Vfunnel and LBox test are carried out on the fresh SCC and in harden concrete compressive strength and split tensile strength values are determined. Attempts have been made to study the properties of such SCCs and to investigate the suitability of Quarry Dust to be used as partial replacement materials for sand in SCC.

To overcome this problem, present study is focused on the suitability to utilize the quarry dust in Self Compacting Concrete (SCC) partially as fine aggregate with the natural fine aggregates. In this work, quarry dust is used as replacement of sand in a different level (0%, 15%, 30%, 45% and 60%) for producing the SCC.

Quarry dust showed more strength when compared to granite dust [2]. Quarry dust is found effective in self compacting concrete as well [8]. Compressive strength, split tensile strength, modulus of elasticity also showed improved results on adding quarry dust to high performance concrete [10].

selfcompacting concrete various trial mixes are done as per the guidelines and finally mix proportion is achieved. Table 5 shows the mix proportions of the self compacting concrete. Mix designations are used such as F10QD50 represents replacement of cement at 10% and replacement of Quarry dust with the addition of steel fibers.

CristianDruta (1) Tensile strength and bond characteristics of selfcompacting concrete, Selfcompacting concrete, also referred to as selfconsolidating concrete, is able to flow and consolidate under its own weight and is desecrated almost completely while flowing in the formwork.

A comparatively good strength is expected when sand is replaced partially or fully with or without concrete admixtures. Utilization of sugarcane bagasse ash as replacement in cement and Quarry dust in replacement with fine aggregate with a percentage replacement of 10%, 15% and 25% respectively.

Partial Replacement of Sand with Quarry Dust in Concrete CiteSeerX enable them to be used as partial replacement materials for sand in concrete. Key Words: Quarry Dust, Fly ash, Workability, Compressive strength.

present day necessities for development. Remembering this, in this review the fresh and harden properties of self compacting concrete (SCC) utilizing granite waste as partial replacement for cementitious material along with foundry sand as partial replacement for fine aggregate and addition of polypropylene fibers were assessed.

They concluded that the replacement of fine aggregate with 50% marble powder and 50% quarry rock dust green concrete gives an excellent result in workability and it satisfy the self compacting concrete performance which is the ...

Abstract. Abstract —This study presents an experimental investigation on selfcompacting concrete (SCC) with fine aggregate (sand) replacement of a Quarry Dust (QD) (0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, ) and addition of mineral admixtures like Fly Ash (FA) and Silica Fume (SF) chemical admixtures like super plasticizers (SP).

The consumption of natural resources like sand and stones for concrete production has resulted not only in their scarcity but also in environmental degradation associated with their extraction, and air pollution due to the generated quarry dust as result of the rock crushing. Also, with increase of mining sites in Rwanda, the amount of mine tailings has extremely increased, and their dumping ...

Hence, partial replacement of cement becomes a necessity as well as natural sand in concrete by waste material or byproduct without compromising the quality of the end product. Partial replacement with Ground Granulated Blast furnace Slag (GGBS), Fly Ash (PFA), Silica Fumes (SILICA) incorporates with of Quarry Dust (QD) as sand replacement.

quarry dust into the selfcompacting Concrete mix as partial replacement material to natural sand resulted in higher compressive strength and optimization of sand replacement is 40%. Optimization of addition of fly ash in total powder content is 30%.

sawdust and quarry dust doesn''t affect the properties of concrete majorly. Sawdust and quarry dust as partial replacement of fine aggregate is economical. Due to its high fines of quarry dust it provided to be very effective in assuring very good cohesiveness of concrete. 0 5 10 15 20 25 30 35 mix 1 mix 2 mix 3 mix 4 mix 5 2 Mix Proportion
